BASKETBALL CLINIC FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES

Program Snapshot

About

HH bALLers is specifically designed to create a positive and uplifting physical and social experience for individuals with disabilities through basketball. Clinics are open to all skill levels and do not require any previous basketball experience. Clinics will include basketball skill-building drills for dribbling, passing, and shooting and will also incorporate group play and simulated basketball game situations. Additionally, clinics will encourage all athletes to move their bodies through stretching, walking, running, and calisthenics. All athletes will be paired with a buddy (1:1, 2:1, 3:1). Basketball buddies will help encourage the development of basketball skills while also promoting a positive social experience. Most importantly, clinics are designed to promote a non-competitive, inclusive, and UNITED experience.

Parents/Guardians will complete “Get To Know My Baller” details during the registration process which will help assist staff in meeting each player’s needs.

Mission

HH bALLers’ mission is to provide additional opportunities for individuals with disabilities to HOOP! Our clinic is designed to create an inclusive environment that nurtures self-confidence, sportsmanship, and friendship through basketball. Additionally, we aim to develop social skills and foster increased participation, interaction, and engagement among our athletes. Our organization hopes to raise community awareness for continued inclusion, acceptance, and opportunity for individuals with disabilities.

Who Are the Buddies?

Buddies for the HH bALLers clinic will consist of local middle school and high school students. All basketball buddies share the main goal of providing an inclusive, empowering, and positive experience for our HH bALLers. Subscribe below to receive emails about upcoming volunteer opportunities
